Mischief Theatre’s Approach to Improv
Friday, 29 May 2026 at 12:00
Doors open: 11:45 Venue closes: 15:30
Uncover your inner Mischief Maker and dive into the joyful chaos of improvisation in a welcoming, low‑pressure space designed for imagination, play, and plenty of laughter.
In this workshop, we’ll journey through the core principles of improvised comedy - listening, accepting, and committing - using the same exercises and techniques that have helped shape Mischief’s signature blend of clowning, comedy, and storytelling.
You’ll be encouraged to stay fully present, embrace every idea as a gift (even the gloriously unexpected ones), and throw yourself wholeheartedly into the shared worlds you create. Along the way, you’ll discover how honest emotional connection and vibrant character relationships naturally spark comedy - sometimes spectacularly, sometimes accidentally, but always joyfully.
Mischief Theatre is the company behind the world-famous ‘Play that Goes Wrong’, currently celebrating 10 years in the West End. Over the last decade, they have grown into a global sensation, creating award-winning comedy for stage, screen and beyond.
"Thrilling and daringly inventive" - The Guardian
"A bona fide theatrical phenomenon. There really is no stopping them" - Metro
"The funniest theatre troupe in Britain." - The Telegraph
